Deep rainy sleep:heart of gold-Miss Day 4

Slept for 13 hours and folded into a fire and craft day. Paul carved into birch, unearthing a spoon, which was then fed to the fire.

This poem, Heart of Gold. was inspired in the process.

Heart of Gold

In the heartwood, the layer set deep

below the bark.

The outer surface.

Where protections are thin

And walls dissolved.

It is in the essence of a ember,

only surrounded by a cast of fire

to beckon you in.

Come closer, your welcome.

See the light.

Come touch it,

hold it in your heart of gold.

They are the same.
